ALI Partners
Cooperation, not competition, is the wave the works.
For a program like ALI to work, it needs to bring people and programs together. It’s not about replacing what already works. It’s about bringing together the programs and alliances that are already successful, and increasing their effectiveness by adding the components that are missing. In the end, it’s all about meeting the needs of students and workers so they have what they need to succeed in an ever-changing marketplace.
ALI is a partnership connecting 17 northeastern Minnesota school districts with the five colleges of the Northeastern Higher Education District (NHED).
Business and Industry partners are instrumental to the delivery of technical education to ALI students. Many industry representatives serve as mentors in ALI programs, providing students valuable real-world experience. Some businesses provide funding for equipment. Others provide extra equipment or supplies from their businesses for student use. In this way, students get to learn on equipment that is used in today’s industry.
